We stock high grade Kanthal A1 resistance wire which is ideal for rebuilding atomizer coils. If you own a rebuildable atomizers then this is a must have component for your atomizer. Our high grade A1 resistance wire can bear 1400°C (2600°F) which means it can resist fluctuations and last longer than lower grade wires.
The life span of a coil totally depends on the the setup and the voltage level used for vaping. If you are attempting to rebuild coils for the first time, then you should look at some detailed tutorials and tips from experts on youtube and well known forums. A poorly built coil can really spoil your vaping experience and also result in shortening of wires and battery etc.
You must also learn some basic rules about handling electric current, specially the ohms/watts specifications of your device/battery and the resistance level you are going to build your coil at – as a very low resistance wire connected to a very powerful battery can impose some serious safety risks.

How to build a coil using kanthal A1 Wire 0.28mm
As a general rule if you are going to build a coil over 1 double folded 2.0mm – 3.0mm silica wick then you should aim to do at least 3 to 4 wraps around the wick, which should give you a resistance of somewhere between 1.5-2.0 Ohms. This resistance level is suitable for electronic cigarette mods that use 18350, 18490, 18500 and 18650 batteries.
However these number are just a guide and can not give you the precise number, as that would totally depend on your own device setup. Once a good coil is in place it should light up bright red from the middle outwards, which means when you fire up the device the middle wraps should glow bright red first then the wraps on the sides should light up. If you see a strong glow on the sides but not in the middle first then you need to space your coils out or re-arrange them in order to get a perfect glow.
If you see your coils taking too long to glow red, then chances are that the resistance level is too high and you might not get a good vape unless you are on a variable voltage device – using which you can overcome this issue by increasing the voltage level.
Please note that the above information should be used as a rough guide and you must learn the basics of recoiling an atomizer first before you do so.
